I guess I'll have to start this story out about a year ago. When my Camry was stolen for the first time. And so was my trombone--about at $3000 trombone.
The car was recovered. The trombone was not.
Then about 6 months later. Again, the car gets stolen, and ANOTHER trombone (this time lent to me from the school).
The car was recovered. The trombone was not.
ARGH. Well I bought new trombones. One for the school. One for me. I buy a new car.
That brings us to this morning. Now thinking I had learned my lesson, I no longer leave trombones in cars... or so I thought.
Last night, after I got back from rehersal... it just slipped my mind. First time in about 6 months. And then I wake up this morning. VOILA! There's my car. Ok so far so good. I get in, and shut the door trying to make it to my 7 am meeting.
*SLAM!**Shadder*
What the fuck!? I look back, there's a giant hole where my window should be. And an empty space where my trombone WAS.
FUCK!
So I grab a stick, knock out the remnants of glass shards. In the pouring fucking rain. Grab a 50 gallon grabage bag, cut it down the seams, patch up the hole. And come to work, to tell you about it.
You're welcome. Happy Friday Everyone!

There is someone stealing trombones in the NW? That's fucked up.
Either that, or someone really doesn't like the way Tevin plays trombone. ;)
That sucks dude! I'd look into the trombone store clerk though, I'll bet he's been selling your own trombones back to you.
Wow, that sucks.
Does the car have an alarm?
Sounds like the person was just going for the trombones, and not caring about anything else.
I've never heard of a trombone theif, but he/she must know the value of these things.
I also agree with #1, check the local stores, could be that you'd find your stolen merchandise there. Hell some idiot in a neighboring town stole a laptop from a woman's apartment, so he decided to get some money for it at a local Radio Shack. The woman working behind the counter, it was the woman he stole from, and didn't even know it! Fucking jerk!
